Understanding Your OES Score

OES stands for Overseas Employability Score. It is a single number from 0 upward that shows how ready you are to work overseas. Think of it like a credit score — but for getting a job abroad.

Why your OES matters

  • Employers see it. A higher OES means you stand out from other candidates.
  • It opens doors. Some jobs are only shown to candidates above a certain score.
  • It motivates you. Watching your number grow is a great way to keep going.

How you earn points

Every important task in the portal gives you points. Here are the main ones:

  • Complete your profile — 100 points
  • Apply to your first job — 50 points
  • Take the Skills Self-Assessment — 50 points
  • Take an AI Interview Screening — 100 points
  • Record a Work Video — 100 points
  • Upload a document — 20 points each
  • Document gets verified — 10 extra points each
  • Complete a course — 25 to 40 points each
  • Install the portal on your phone — 15 points
  • Pledge to do the Candidate Readiness Kit — 25 points

Tip: The fastest way to grow your OES is to upload your documents and finish the courses. Both add up quickly.

How to see your score

  1. Sign in to the portal.
  2. Look at the top of your Home page — your OES is shown as a big number.
  3. Tap your score to open the OES page for a full breakdown.

What does my score mean?

Your score puts you in a rank. Each rank is a sign of how ready you are. See Ranks explained for the full list and the points needed to reach each one.

Can my score go down?

In most cases, no. Once you earn points for a task, they stay. Some special cases (for example, if a document expires and you do not renew it) can change your status, but the points you have earned do not vanish.

What is the highest possible score?

There is no fixed maximum. The system grows as new tasks are added. The most important thing is to keep moving up — most candidates who get hired are at Top Performer rank or higher.
