Ranks Explained
Your OES (Overseas Employability Score) puts you in a rank. The higher your rank, the more attractive you are to overseas employers. There are six ranks in total.
The six ranks
- Starter — 0 to 199 points. Everyone begins here.
- Rising Star — 200 to 399 points. You have made a good start.
- Go-Getter — 400 to 599 points. You are showing real commitment.
- Top Performer — 600 to 799 points. You stand out from most candidates.
- Elite — 800 to 999 points. Employers will notice you first.
- Legend — 1,000 points and above. You are at the top of the field.
What each rank means in practice
- Starter — You have created your account. The next steps are to upload basic documents and apply to your first job.
- Rising Star — You have done at least a few tasks. Most candidates reach this within a week.
- Go-Getter — You have applied to jobs, taken the Skills Assessment, and uploaded important documents. You are now a real candidate to employers.
- Top Performer — You have completed several courses, recorded a Work Video, or done an AI Interview Screening. Many job offers come at this rank.
- Elite — You are job-ready. Most employers will short-list you over candidates with a lower rank.
- Legend — You have done almost everything possible. Expect strong attention from employers.
How to move up a rank
Each rank needs more points than the last. Here are the fastest ways to add points:
- Upload all your required documents — many points at once.
- Take the Skills Self-Assessment — 50 points in a few minutes.
- Take an AI Interview Screening — 100 points and excellent practice.
- Finish a course in the Candidate Readiness Kit — 25 to 40 points each.
- Record a Work Video — 100 points and shows employers what you can do.
Tip: Aim to move up at least one rank each week. Set yourself a small goal — for example, finish two courses or upload three documents.
