Next Best Tasks

The Next Best Tasks section on your home page tells you what to do next. It is your personal to-do list, picked just for you, to grow your OES score the fastest.

What it looks like

When you sign in, you will see a section on your home page called Next Best Tasks. It shows 3 to 5 small actions, each with:

  • A short description of the task.
  • The number of points you will earn.
  • A button to start the task.

Why we suggest these tasks

The portal looks at what you have done so far and what is still missing. It then picks the actions that:

  • Will boost your OES the most.
  • Are missing or incomplete on your profile.
  • Match the jobs you have applied for.

So your Next Best Tasks will be different from another candidate's — they are made just for you.

Examples of Next Best Tasks

  • "Upload your Passport for 20 points."
  • "Finish your Profile to earn 100 points."
  • "Take the Skills Self-Assessment for 50 points."
  • "Apply to your first job for 50 points."
  • "Record a Work Video for 100 points."

How to use Next Best Tasks

  1. Open the Home page.
  2. Find the Next Best Tasks section.
  3. Pick the task that looks easiest or most useful to you.
  4. Tap Start.
  5. Once you finish, the task will move off the list and a new one will appear.

Tip: Try to do at least one Next Best Task every time you open the portal. Even a small task adds points.

What if I do not like a suggested task?

That is fine. You do not have to do every Next Best Task. You can always go directly to Documents, Tools, or Courses and pick anything you want to work on.
