How Quizzes and Reels Work

Every course in the Candidate Readiness Kit includes two learning tools: reels (short videos) and quizzes (questions at the end of each course). This article explains how each one works and how to get the most out of them.

What is a reel?

A reel is a short video, usually 1–3 minutes long. Each reel covers a single topic. Most courses contain between 5 and 10 reels, so you can watch one whenever you have a spare moment.

How to watch a reel

  1. Open the Courses page.
  2. Tap a course.
  3. Tap the first reel to play it.
  4. When the reel ends, the next one starts automatically. You can also tap Next to skip ahead.

You can pause, rewind, or watch a reel again as many times as you like.

Tip: Use headphones when you can. The audio is clearer and you will catch more details.

How quizzes work

After watching all the reels in a course, you take a short quiz. Quizzes typically have 5–10 multiple-choice questions, each with 2–4 answer options. Select the best answer for each question.

  1. Read the question carefully.
  2. Tap the answer you think is right.
  3. Tap Next.
  4. After the last question, tap Submit.

Your score is displayed immediately after you submit.

What if I do not pass the first time?

There is no limit on retakes — you can take the quiz as many times as you need. Review the reels for any topics you missed, then try again. Most candidates pass on their second attempt.

Saving your progress

Your progress is saved automatically. You can:

  • Stop in the middle of a reel and come back later.
  • Watch the same reel again any time.
  • Switch courses without losing your spot.

Earning points

You earn OES points only when you pass the quiz — watching the reels alone does not award points. Points are added to your total immediately, and the course is marked as Completed on your Courses page.

Subtitle and language support

All reels are currently in English. Subtitles in other languages are not yet available. If you want to slow down or replay a section, use the video player controls. If a topic is difficult to understand, you can contact our support team for help — see Contacting Cirrus support.
