What to Do If You Spot a Bug

A bug is something in the Cirrus portal that does not work as expected — for example, a button that does nothing, a page that will not load, or a number that looks wrong. To report a bug, take a screenshot, note what you were doing and what went wrong, then contact the Cirrus support team via Help Center chat or email. Reporting bugs helps us fix them for you and every other candidate.

How to report a bug

  1. Take a screenshot of what you see. On most Android phones, hold the power and volume down buttons together. On iPhone, press the side and volume up buttons together. On a computer, use your operating system's screenshot tool (e.g. Print Screen on Windows, Shift+Command+4 on Mac). If you cannot take a screenshot, describe what you see in as much detail as possible.
  2. Note the page you were on (for example, Documents, Tools).
  3. Note what you were trying to do (for example, "I tried to upload my passport").
  4. Note what happened instead (for example, "The button grayed out and nothing happened").
  5. Open the Help Center chat or email support — see Contacting Cirrus support.
  6. Send the screenshot and your notes.

Extra details that help us investigate faster

  • The device you are using (for example, iPhone 15, Samsung Galaxy S23, or the type of computer and operating system).
  • The browser you used (Chrome, Safari, Firefox).
  • The time you noticed the problem.
  • Whether the same problem happens every time or only sometimes.

What happens after you report

  • We will reply to confirm we got your report.
  • Our team will investigate and try to reproduce the issue.
  • We will aim to reply within 1–2 business days to confirm we received your report. If the bug is confirmed, we will fix it in a future update and may follow up to let you know.
  • If it is not really a bug (for example, a feature you did not know about), we will explain.

Things to try before reporting

  • Refresh the page (pull down on mobile, or tap refresh).
  • Sign out and sign back in.
  • Try another browser (Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone).
  • Check your internet — try opening another website.

If the problem still happens after these steps, please report it.

Tip: Even small bugs are worth reporting. They might be affecting other candidates too.

How your reports help

We rely on candidates like you to spot issues our team cannot always see. Every bug report makes the Cirrus portal better for everyone — thank you for taking the time to let us know.
