Using the AI Interview Simulator
The AI Interview Simulator is a smart practice tool. It asks you common interview questions, listens to your answers, and gives you helpful feedback — including your English level. It is the best way to prepare for a real interview.
Before you start
You will need:
- A quiet place where no one will interrupt you for about 15–20 minutes.
- A device with a camera and a microphone — your phone is fine.
- A working internet connection.
How to start
- Sign in to the portal.
- Open the Tools page.
- Tap AI Interview Simulator.
- Tap Start a practice interview.
- Allow the app to use your camera and microphone when asked.
- Do the camera and mic check that appears on screen.
Camera and mic check
Before the interview begins, the simulator checks that your camera and mic are working.
- You should see your face on the screen.
- A bar should move when you speak.

If anything is not working, see My camera/microphone isn't working in the Interview Simulator.
What the interview is like
- The simulator asks you questions one at a time.
- You answer out loud, looking at the camera.
- After each answer, the next question begins.
- The whole practice takes about 10–15 minutes.
Tip: Speak as if you were in a real interview. Sit up straight, look at the camera, and answer in clear, complete sentences.
How scoring works
After the interview, you get a score on:
- Communication — how clearly you speak.
- Confidence — your tone and body language.
- Answer quality — whether you answered the question fully.
- English level — your CEFR rating (see below).
You also get specific tips on what to do better next time.
Your CEFR English level
CEFR is the international scale for English. It runs from A1 (very basic) to C2 (near-native).
- A1, A2 — beginner English. Practise more before international interviews.
- B1, B2 — strong everyday English. Most overseas employers accept B1 or higher.
- C1, C2 — advanced English. Excellent for any role.
If your CEFR level is lower than you hoped, do not worry. Practise the simulator a few times — your score usually improves quickly.
Can I take it more than once?
Yes. Each practice gives you fresh feedback. Most candidates improve after their first 2 or 3 tries.
What is "AI Interview Screening" (Aria)?
AI Interview Screening is a separate tool. It looks similar to the practice simulator, but the result is shared with employers and counts on your profile. You will see it as an option once it becomes available to you. Practise on the simulator first.
