Documents Overview: How the Document Hub Works
The Documents page is where you upload and track every paper an employer needs from you. Understanding how it works will save you time and worry.
How documents flow
Every document moves through three steps:
- Stage — You see what the employer needs.
- Submit — You upload the file.
- Review — Cirrus or the employer checks it.
That's it. Most documents are reviewed within 1–3 working days.

What you will see on the page
The Documents page shows a list of cards — one for each document. Each card shows:
- The name of the document (for example, Passport).
- The status (missing, uploaded, verified, etc.). See Document statuses explained.
- A short description of what the document is.
- A button to upload or view the file.

Documents you must have for your application show up first. Optional documents are lower down.
Required vs optional documents
- Required — The employer needs this before they can move your application forward.
- Optional — Nice to have. They strengthen your application but you can apply without them.
Always do the required ones first.
How to upload a document
- Tap the document card.
- Tap Upload.
- Choose a file from your phone or take a photo.
- Confirm the file looks right.
- Tap Save.
For step-by-step tips on getting a clean photo, see How to upload a clear, accepted document.
What happens after I upload?
- The status changes to Uploaded.
- A reviewer checks it within a few days.
- You will get a notification when it is Verified or if it needs a fix.
Tip: You can keep using the portal while a document is being reviewed. You do not have to wait.
Earning points
- Uploading a document earns you 20 points.
- Getting it verified earns you another 10 points.
- Some documents (like Passport and NBI Clearance) are needed by every employer, so do those first.
