When and how does the English training schedule work?
Learn when you are endorsed to English training, how scheduling works, and why attending all sessions is important to avoid delays.
Definition / Overview
English Training is a structured review program provided by Cirrus to help candidates prepare for their English test (such as PTE).
The training usually runs for around 8 weeks, and most sessions are scheduled in the evening to accommodate working candidates.
Why the schedule is important
Each session focuses on:
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
- Listening
The lessons are structured step by step. Missing a session may affect your progress because each topic builds on the previous one.
Consistent attendance helps you:
- Improve faster
- Practice timed typing for writing tasks
- Gain confidence before taking the actual test
How it works
Step 1: Endorsement
Your Candidate Processing Coordinator will:
- Endorse you to the English Trainer
Step 2: Endorsement and Group Chat
The English Trainer will then:
- Create a group chat for your batch
- Share the review schedule inside the group chat
This is where your training coordination will happen.
Please check the group regularly for announcements and schedule updates.
Step 3: Review Sessions Begin
- Sessions usually run for about 8 weeks
- Most schedules are in the evening
- Sessions cover reading, writing, speaking, and listening
If you are not yet ready, you are usually not required to immediately sit the English test. It is important that you feel confident before taking the exam.
What happens if you miss a session?
If you cannot attend or if you miss multiple sessions:
- You may be moved to another schedule or batch
- You may need to wait for the next available group
- This can cause delays in your English training completion
- Delays in training may affect your English test timeline
To avoid delays, please make sure you can commit to the full schedule before confirming.
What candidates should do now
As early as now, you may:
- Start reviewing basic English grammar and vocabulary
- Practice typing on a laptop or desktop
- Try practice assessments to build confidence
Once you are added to the group:
- Save your schedule
- Attend every session
- Inform your Cirrus Coordinator immediately if you have conflicts
Consistency is important to complete the training on time.
What if there’s a problem?
If:
- You were not added to the group chat
- You did not receive the schedule
- You have unavoidable conflicts
Inform your Cirrus Coordinator as soon as possible.
