What are IELTS or PTE?
IELTS and PTE are English language tests used to assess your reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for visa and employment purposes.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) and PTE (Pearson Test of English) are internationally recognised English language proficiency tests.
These tests measure your ability to communicate effectively in English across four key areas:
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
⚠️ Important: Do Not Take IELTS or PTE Yet
If you are still in the application stage, you are not required to take IELTS or PTE at this time.
Not all candidates need to take an English test. Some applicants may be:
- Exempt from taking IELTS or PTE
- Required to take a specific test (IELTS or PTE)
- Required to achieve a specific score depending on their visa or occupation
Your Cirrus Recruiter will carefully assess your profile and advise you:

Why are IELTS or PTE required?
If required, these tests may be used to:
- Meet visa requirements
