Installing the Portal on Your Phone

You can install the Cirrus Candidate Portal on your phone like a normal app. Once installed, it opens faster, you get a home-screen icon, and you can receive notifications when there is news about your application.

You do not need to download anything from the Play Store or App Store. The portal installs straight from your web browser.

Install on Android (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome on your Android phone.
  2. Go to your portal address (the same one you sign in to).
  3. Sign in with your account.
  4. Tap the three-dot menu (top right of Chrome).
  5. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
  6. Confirm by tapping Install.
  7. Look for the new Cirrus icon on your home screen and tap to open.

Tip: If you do not see the install option, refresh the page once and try again. Some phones show the option as Add to Home screen instead of Install app — both do the same thing.

Install on iPhone (Safari)

  1. Open Safari on your iPhone. (You must use Safari — Chrome on iPhone will not work.)
  2. Go to your portal address.
  3. Sign in with your account.
  4. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with the arrow pointing up).
  5. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  6. Tap Add in the top right.
  7. The new icon will appear on your home screen.

Why install it?

  • Faster — opens like a real app, no need to type the address each time.
  • Notifications — get alerts when an employer replies, when a document is approved, or when you have a new task.
  • Bonus points — installing the app gives you 15 points toward your OES score.

How to remove it

If you ever need to remove the app, just press and hold the icon on your home screen and tap Remove or Delete. Your account stays safe — you can always sign back in from your browser.
