Quick cultural tips
- Direct but polite — Australians say what they mean. They are rarely offended by clear, polite questions.
- Equality on the worksite — bosses and workers eat lunch together and use first names.
- Respect for safety — never skip a step to "save time". You can stop work to fix a safety risk.
- Ask if you do not know — your team will help you. Pretending you understand can cause problems.
Tip: Watch a few Australian YouTube channels in your free time to get used to the accent. The more you listen, the easier it becomes.
