Who will apply for my bank account?
It is the employee’s responsibility to apply for their bank account. However, Cirrus Global, Inc. will assist by opening a bank account on your behalf before your departure to Australia to help reduce the tasks you need to complete upon arrival.
When do I activate my bank account?
You must activate your bank account once you arrive in Australia and after your Australian mobile number is active.
Why do I need to activate my bank account?
Your bank account was opened online before your arrival in Australia. To complete the registration process and make the account fully functional, it must be activated in person.
Do I need to activate my bank account?
Yes. Having an active bank account is a mandatory requirement before starting work in Australia, as this is where your employer will deposit your salary.
How do I activate my bank account?
You must personally visit the nearest bank branch to activate your account.

Which bank should I go to for activation?
Check the email from the Deployment Team to confirm which bank your account was opened with. In most cases, accounts are opened with Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
What if there is no bank branch near my area?
If there is no branch of your assigned bank near your location, you or your employer may open a new bank account at a bank branch closer to your worksite.
Can someone activate the bank account for me?
No. Bank account activation requires your personal appearance at the bank to complete the verification process.
How can I send money to the Philippines?
You may check with your bank in the Philippines regarding their affiliated banks in Australia for remittance services. You may also send money through international remittance providers such as Western Union.
