Applications & Interviews FAQ

Common questions about applying, interviewing, and waiting for a result.

How many jobs can I apply to?

As many as you like. Apply to every job that interests you and that you qualify for. Most candidates apply to several before getting a job.

Should I apply to a job even if I do not match every requirement?

It depends. If you meet most of the requirements (for example, the experience and the trade), it is usually worth applying. If you are missing something basic (like a required licence), focus first on getting that licence.

Will applying to many jobs hurt my chances?

No. Each employer only sees their own applications. Applying widely is normal and smart.

How will I know if I have an interview?

You will get a notification in the portal and an email with the date, time, and link. Check your Applications page often so you do not miss anything.

What should I wear to an interview?

For a video interview: a clean, plain shirt (a polo shirt or button-up). Avoid bright patterns, strong logos, or sleeveless tops. Look the way you would on your first day at work.

What if I miss an interview?

Contact the employer or your Cirrus contact straight away and explain. Most will let you reschedule once. Two missed interviews look bad — try not to miss any.

Can I ask questions in an interview?

Yes — and you should. Good questions to ask:

  • "What does a typical day look like?"
  • "What would I be doing in my first month?"
  • "Is the team mostly Filipino, mixed, or local?"
  • "What is the next step in your hiring process?"

Avoid asking about salary or holidays in the very first interview unless the employer brings it up.

What does "Inactive" mean on my application?

It means your application has been closed. The job may be filled, the employer may have paused hiring, or you may not have matched the requirements. You can apply to other jobs at any time.

How long does it take to hear back after an interview?

Anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Employers compare candidates carefully. If it has been more than 3 weeks with no news, message your Cirrus contact.

What if I get more than one job offer?

That is great news. Take a day to think about each offer — salary, location, contract length, employer reputation. Talk it over with your family. Once you decide, accept one and politely decline the others.

Can I withdraw an application?

Yes. Open the application and tap Withdraw. Your other applications are not affected.
